DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?
If you find yourself nodding along to any of these, the membership is built exactly for you:
You know SEO matters for your business, but every time you sit down to actually work on it, you get lost in conflicting advice and end up doing nothing.
You’ve been told everything about SEO has changed because of AI, and now you’re sitting on a half-built strategy because you don’t know what’s still worth doing.
You’ve hired SEO agencies in the past, spent a fortune, and walked away with a confusing report and not much else to show for it.
You’re watching competitors show up in Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT answers, while your business is invisible, and you don’t know where to start fixing it.
You want a steady monthly routine that keeps your SEO and AI Search visibility moving in the right direction, without trying to turn yourself into a full-time marketer.
As a member of The SEO School, you’ll be able to:
Across Google search, Google AI Overviews, Google Maps, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and any new search surface that turns up. You’ll know how to be visible in all of them without chasing every shiny new acronym.
Every month I’ll tell you the one thing to focus on, walk you through how to do it in a workshop, and then sit with you in a co-working session while you actually get it done.
You’ll know what’s genuinely worth your time (your Google Business Profile, your money keywords, your foundational on-page SEO) and what’s mostly noise (chasing every new buzzword, paying for vanity metrics, hiring agencies that hide behind jargon).
You’ll get the data, the reframe, and the practical workflow for showing up in AI tools, in plain English. No buzzwords, no doomscrolling, no half-baked AEO consultants.
Not a flash-in-the-pan rankings spike that disappears the next time Google updates. The kind of solid foundation that compounds over months and years and survives every algorithm change.
With a community of other small business owners working alongside you, plus me in the room every month, you’ll always know whether what you’re doing is right and what to try next.
What you get as a member of this SEO course and membership:
5 core foundational modules on day 1 to bring you up to speed on SEO and AI Search. Plus a growing library of tool tutorials (Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog, Bing Webmaster Tools, and more) dripped across your first 90 days.
A live workshop most months with a specific theme, calendar rolling from October (Keyword Research Done Right) through September (Websites That Convert). January and July are catch-up months. Full schedule in the detailed breakdown below.
Members-only sessions held right after each workshop, where I’m in the Zoom room while you implement. Stay as long as you need to get the work done.
A members-only community inside your member portal. Other small business owners doing the same work. Ask questions, share wins, get help between workshops.
Everything I use with my own clients, ready to copy and adapt to your business.
When Google or ChatGPT or Perplexity changes the rules, I translate what it means for your business. No panic, no jargon.
Over 20 years inside SEO and Google Ads. More than 1,000 websites optimised. More than 70 training workshops delivered to small business owners. I’ve watched search change through every major shift, from mobile-first to local pack to featured snippets to helpful content updates and now AI Search. Same principles work every time.
“Karen was great help in steering us in the right direction with our website. With lots of invaluable tips and pointers for us to work on.”
“Karen is very easy to understand, easy to talk to, and answered all my questions thoroughly. I now feel confident to work on my own SEO.”
“Karen is an expert in all things SEO. After working with Karen I was astounded at how simple the process is when you work with an expert in this field.”

Ten months of the year I host a live workshop on a specific theme. 60 minutes of teaching, a short break, then up to 90 minutes of live co-working immediately after where you can stay as long as you need to get the work done. January and July are catch-up months: no new workshop, just time to implement and catch up on replays. Members who can’t make live get the recording within 24 hours and can bring questions to the community.
Here’s exactly what you’ll be working on each month:
| Month | Workshop | What you’ll be working on | You walk away with |
|---|---|---|---|
| Oct | Keyword Research Done Right | Build a keyword map for your business. Money keywords first, sorted by decision-stage vs research-stage intent. Allocate each keyword to a specific page. | Finished keyword map and page allocations |
| Nov | On-Page SEO for Google and AI | Rewrite 3 priority money pages using your October keyword allocations. Titles, meta, H1s, intros, CTAs. Plus plan the internal linking (hub-and-spoke) around each page. | 3 pages re-optimised and internal linking plan |
| Dec | Link Building That Works | Audit the links you already have, then build from there. You’ll get my curated list of quality websites you can submit to, plus I’ll show you how to find more through research and by looking at where your competitors get their links. | Your link audit done and a plan of action for the sites you’ll submit to, with the process underway |
| Jan | Catch-Up Month | No new workshop this month, and that’s deliberate. Catch up on anything you’ve missed, finish the implementation work from the last quarter, and rewatch replays. The community stays open and I’m still in there answering questions. | A clear runway into February, with no backlog |
| Feb | Getting Found Locally | The full local visibility push: your Google Business Profile (services, photos, posts, Bing Places and Apple Maps refreshed, Q&A, reviews), NAP consistency across directories. Citations across industry-relevant listings. Review-generation pipeline setup. | NAP fixed, review pipeline live |
| Mar | Becoming the Expert | Layer authority signals both on your site (author bios, credentials, trust markers) AND off it. Google Knowledge Panel basics, LinkedIn content strategy, podcast guesting as citations, speaking engagements as ranking signals. | Author bios and trust signals live, plus a 90-day expertise-building plan |
| Apr | SEO Beyond Your Website | Everything that isn’t your own website but still signals authority. Social media profile alignment. Wikipedia and Wikidata entries for entity linking. Industry directory listings. Brand mention monitoring. | Social profiles aligned, entity linking set up, brand alerts live |
| May | Technical SEO Tidy-Up | Speed and Core Web Vitals. Mobile-friendliness. Crawlability, sitemap audits, orphan pages, URL structure. Broken links and redirect chains. Image optimisation. Plus schema essentials (Organization, LocalBusiness, Service) validated in the Rich Results Test. | Tech audit done, top 5 issues fixed, images optimised, schema in place |
| Jun | Content Marketing That Ranks | Plan an editorial calendar of research-stage blog posts that support your money pages via the Hub Model. Anatomy of a blog post that gets read and ranks. Writing for Google and AI Search citation. | 3-month editorial calendar and 1 blog post published |
| Jul | Catch-Up Month | Same deal as January. No new workshop, just time to implement, catch up on replays and tidy up anything half-finished before the final stretch of the calendar. | Everything from the year so far actually done |
| Aug | Unlocking Google Search Console | Turn Search Console from a confusing dashboard into your monthly SEO to-do list. Find the keywords you almost rank for, spot pages that are slipping, sort out indexing and coverage issues, and use the URL Inspection tool with confidence. All done live on your own data. | Your GSC opportunity list and a repeatable monthly check |
| Sep | Websites That Convert | Turn the visibility you’ve built into enquiries. Clear calls to action, enquiry paths that work on mobile, trust elements on your money pages, and simple conversion checks using your GA4 data. | 3 money pages tuned for enquiries plus a conversion checklist you’ll reuse |
The workshop calendar rolls annually starting each October, so whenever you join, you’ll experience all 10 workshops (plus the two catch-up months) within your first 12 months. These workshop themes are subject to change if the industry shifts materially. If a workshop gets swapped out, I’ll always give you notice ahead of time, and the replacement will be at least as useful as what it replaced.

This is the bit that makes the membership genuinely different. Right after each workshop we take a short break and then stay in the same Zoom room for up to 90 minutes of live co-working. Stay as long as you need. You have your laptop open, you start doing the thing we just covered, and I’m there in real time to answer questions, look at your screen if you need a second pair of eyes, and keep you accountable.
Most online courses end with “now go and do this on your own.” The membership ends with “now let’s do this together while I’m still here.” That’s why people in the membership actually finish things, instead of bookmarking videos and forgetting about them.

A members-only community that lives inside your member portal, not on Facebook. Log in once, see everything in one place. No algorithm hiding posts from you. No Facebook fatigue. Just a focused space where you can ask questions between workshops, share what’s working, get a second opinion on your strategy, and quietly build relationships with other small business owners doing the same work.
I’m in there too, answering questions, sharing things I’m seeing in client work that haven’t made it into a workshop yet, and posting weekly prompts to keep the group moving.

The resource library includes everything I use with my own clients, ready to copy and adapt:
- Keyword research templates
- On-page SEO checklists
- Google Business Profile optimisation checklist
- Content brief templates that work for AI Search
- Technical SEO audit checklist
- AI prompt packs for common SEO tasks (content briefs, schema generation, competitor research)
- Monthly SEO routine SOP so you know exactly what to do each week
- Reporting templates that tell you what’s working without overwhelming you

Every time Google or ChatGPT or Perplexity changes something material, I’ll send you a plain-English update that tells you what changed, whether it matters for your business, and what to do about it (if anything). Most of the time the honest answer is “keep doing what you’re doing,” but when there’s a genuine shift coming, you’ll hear about it from me before the panic hits your LinkedIn feed.
Let’s be honest about who this is for.
- You’re a small business owner who wants to take SEO seriously without becoming a full-time marketer
- You’ve tried agencies before and felt like you were paying for jargon and reports instead of results
- You want to understand WHY things work, not just blindly follow tactics
- You want a monthly routine that’s actually doable, not a one-off course you’ll never finish
- You’re tired of conflicting advice and want a single trusted source for SEO and AI Search
- You’d value being in a small community of business owners doing the same work
- You want to show up in Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT, not just regular Google
- You’re willing to put in roughly 4 to 7 hours a month, including the live session, to make this work
- You want someone else to do all your SEO for you (in that case, you want an agency, and I’m happy to refer you to one)
- You’re hoping for overnight results (SEO is a long game and anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something dodgy)
- You’re not willing to put in any time yourself (the workshops and co-working sessions only work if you turn up)
- You’re chasing the next shortcut, hack, or growth secret (the membership is about the boring foundational work that actually compounds)
- You’re a full-time SEO professional (the membership is built for business owners, not for SEO specialists. You probably already know most of this.)
- You want a one-and-done course (the membership is a rolling monthly thing, not a finite product)
Let me answer the big ones.
You absolutely can, and for some businesses that’s the right call. As someone who’s run an SEO agency for 20 years, I can tell you what most agencies charge a small business: somewhere between $1,500 and $5,000 a month, with a 12-month minimum, for work that you often can’t easily verify or understand. That’s $18,000 to $60,000 a year on the low end. The membership is built for the business owners who want to either learn the skills themselves, OR be informed enough to know whether their future agency is actually doing good work. Even if you do hire an agency one day, what you learn inside the membership will mean you can hold them properly accountable instead of paying them blindly.
Because unlike a standalone SEO course, the membership isn’t something you have to finish. It’s an ongoing rhythm: a workshop each month, a co-working session straight after, a community where you can ask questions, and a routine that fits into roughly 2 to 4 hours of implementation on top of the monthly live session. You’re not climbing a mountain by yourself, you’re showing up to the same Tuesday morning meeting every month and quietly building momentum. The co-working sessions are the thing most people say turns their pattern around. You don’t have to find time to implement on your own, because you implement live while I’m in the Zoom room with you. The work just gets done.
Short answer: no. The longer answer is that AI tools rely on the same trust and authority signals that Google uses, so the foundational SEO work that’s mattered for 20 years still matters now, possibly more than ever. The membership has AI Search baked into every relevant module and workshop, not bolted on as an afterthought. Whether you want to be visible in Google or ChatGPT or Perplexity, you’re getting both at once.
My 30-day no-questions-asked guarantee.
If you join the membership and within the first 30 days you decide it’s not for you for any reason, just email me and I’ll refund the full annual fee or the quarterly fee, whichever you paid. No forms, no exit surveys, no “are you sure” emails. Just a refund and we part on good terms.
I’d rather have happy members who genuinely want to be there than people stuck inside something that doesn’t fit them. Try it, and if it’s not the right thing for you, no hard feelings.
